Valor & Solutions offers specialized clinical services for adults with developmental disabilities presenting with challenging behaviours, complex needs and dual diagnosis.

Valor & Solutions called for Open’s expertise to offer training to their staff on how to best support persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Open also supports them in evaluating their services using an inclusive approach.

The Problem

Difficulty finding expertise in cognitive accessibility and cognitive disabilities, especially in French.

The Solution

Open offered training sessions to staff members on topics like how to help persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities protect their privacy online, or how technology can support them in their daily life. Open also conducted projects to evaluate their services and facilitated the involvement of users with intellectual and developmental disabilities in these projects.
